Israel launched the much-anticipated retaliatory strike early Saturday morning. The Israeli military said the attack targeted strategic military installations, including production and launch sites for drones and ballistic missiles.
Iran was already prepared to retaliate against Israel. On October 1, Iran launched a direct attack of 200 ballistic missiles, causing most people to take refuge in bomb shelters. A Palestinian man was killed and several residential areas, including a military base, were damaged. However, the Israeli Defense Forces reported that the attack had no effective effect.
Netanyahu also said that Iran attacked Israel with hundreds of ballistic missiles and that the attack failed. We kept our promises. The Air Force attacked Iran, damaging its defense capabilities and missile production capabilities.
