Islami Bank received 6 DMDs


Mahmudur Rahman has been promoted as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Islami Bank Bangladesh Plc. Rafiqul Islam, Muhammad Saeed Ullah, K.M. Munirul Alam Al-Mamun, Dr. M. Kamal Uddin Jasim and Md. Maksudur Rahman. Earlier he was working as Senior Executive Vice President of the Bank.

This information was informed in the press release sent by Islami Bank on Saturday (November 2).

Mahmudur Rahman is working as the head of Dhaka Central Zone. He joined the bank as a probationary officer in 1995 and served as head of various departments and branches of the head office including International Trade Wing, Noakhali Zone. He obtained the Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) degree from the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) in 2010. He obtained his Master's degree in Political Science from Dhaka University and subsequently his MBA in Finance and Banking. He visited Switzerland, Thailand, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore and United Arab Emirates to participate in various trainings and workshops.

Md. Rafiqul Islam is working as Head of International Trade Wing. He joined the Bank as a Senior Officer in 1998 and served as the Head of various Departments and Branches at the Head Office, including the Head of the Bank's Camelco and Investment Administration Divisions. He received his MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University. He visited Germany, England, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong, India and Malaysia to participate in various trainings and workshops.

Muhammad Saeed Ullah is working as Head of Special Investment Wing. He joined the bank as a probationary officer in 1992 and served as the head of various departments and branches of the bank including Human Resources Wing, Investment Management Wing, Retail Investment Wing, Dhaka North Zone and Sylhet Zone. He received Honors and Masters from Islamic University, Kushtia and later MBA in Human Resource Management. He visited China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Bhutan, Jordan and India to participate in various trainings and workshops.

K.M. Munirul Alam Al-Mamun is working as Principal of Islami Bank Training and Research Academy. He joined the Bank as a Probationary Officer in 1992 and held important responsibilities in various departments and branches of the Bank including Head of Foreign Trade Operations Division, Head of Nawabpur Road and Paltan Branches. He obtained the Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) degree from the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) in 2009. He received his MBA degree in Finance from North South University in 2006. He visited USA, Switzerland, Thailand, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Uzbekistan to participate in various trainings and workshops.

Dr. M Kamal Uddin is working as Head of Camelco and Operations Wing of Jasim Bank. He joined the Bank as a Probationary Officer in 1992 and served as Head of Dhaka East Zone and Head of Business Promotion and Marketing Division, Head Office Complex Corporate Branch, Head of Dhanmondi and Farmgate Branches and various departments and branches of the Head Office. Before joining the bank, he was associated with journalism. He obtained his Bachelor's degree with honors and Master's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Dhaka University. He obtained his PhD in Economics from Rajshahi University in 2005. He visited UK, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Turkey, China, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates to participate in various trainings and workshops.

Md. Maksudur Rahman is working as the head of internal control and compliance wing of the bank. He joined the bank as a probationary officer in 1995 and served as the head of various departments and branches of the bank's development wing, financial literacy wing, head of foreign remittance division, Jessore and Khulna zone head. He holds BSS (Hons) and MSS degrees in Political Science from Rajshahi University. He visited Germany, Greece, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and India to participate in various trainings and workshops.
