US Charged Gautam Adani Frauding Investors And Bribe Indian Officials. Gautam Adani accused of fraud-bribery in New York: Claim- Had promised to give 250 million dollars to Indian officials to get solar energy contract

According to Bloomberg's Billionaires Index, 62-year-old Gautam Adani's wealth is more than $85 billion.

The Federal Court of New York has accused 7 people including Gautam Adani of fraud and bribery worth billions of dollars. Among the remaining accused, the names of Adani Green Energy Limited official nephew Sagar Adani and Vineet Jain are also included.

A press release issued by the United States Attorney's Office said that Adani had promised to pay bribes of more than $250 million to Indian officials to obtain solar energy contracts.

According to the US Department of Justice, the accused lied to investors and banks to raise this money. Also tried to obstruct the investigation.
