Today i.e. on October 8, the Sensex is trading at the level of 81,760 with a rise of about 700 points. Nifty is also up by 230 points, it is trading at the level of 25,040.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 19 are rising and 11 are declining. Out of 50 stocks of Nifty, 30 are rising and 20 are declining. Except the metal sector, everyone is doing business at a brisk pace.
Mixed business for Asian markets
- In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei fell by 1.00%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index closed 9.41% lower and China's Shanghai Composite closed 4.59% higher.
- On October 7, the US Dow Jones fell 0.94% to 41,954 and the Nasdaq fell 1.18% to 17,923. The S&P 500 also fell 0.96% to 5,695.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹8,293.41 crore on October 7. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 13,245.12 crore.

There was a decline in the market yesterday Earlier yesterday i.e. on October 7, the Sensex had fallen by 638 points and closed at the level of 81,050. Nifty also fell by 218 points, it closed at the level of 24,795. At the same time, BSE Small Cap fell by 1,827 points and closed at 54,117.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 were down and 7 were up. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 40 were in decline and 10 were up. Except the IT sector of NSE, all closed with a decline.
