Today i.e. on November 14, the Sensex closed at 77,580 with a fall of 110 points. Nifty also fell by 26 points, it closed at the level of 23,532. At the same time, BSE Smallcap rose 429 points and closed at 52,381.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 17 declined and 13 rose. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 29 declined and 21 rose. The FMCG sector of the NSE sectoral index fell the most by 1.53%. Whereas, the media sector had the highest growth of 2.26%.
There was mixed trading in Asian markets
- Hindustan Unilever, ITC, NTPC and Power Grid dragged the market the most. Whereas, Reliance, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra pulled the market higher.
- In the Asian market, Japan's Nikkei fell by 0.48%. Whereas Korea's Kospi closed with a rise of 0.074% and China's Shanghai Composite closed with a fall of 1.73%.
- On November 13, the US Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.11% higher at 43,958 and the S&P 500 closed 0.023% higher at 5,985. The Nasdaq fell 0.26% to 19,230.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹2,502.58 crore on November 13. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹6,145.24 crore.
