Arab Finance: British oil and gas giant Shell intends to increase its natural gas production from three fields in Egypt's West Delta by 170 million cubic feet per day by the end of next December, according to what was reported by the East Economy website.
The Egyptian government, in cooperation with Shell and Petronas of Malaysia, is currently carrying out development work on 3 fields in the West Delta offshore region. Production was added at a rate of 40 million cubic feet per day last October and about 65 million cubic feet per day this November, with 65 million cubic feet per day being added in… Next December.
The West Delta natural gas fields are located 90 kilometers off the coast of Egypt in the northwestern part of the Nile Delta, and 110 kilometers northeast of Alexandria. The depth of the fields located in the West Delta offshore concession ranges between 300 and 1,200 meters.
