Arab FinanceEngineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, held several bilateral meetings and discussions at the Ministry’s headquarters Heads of a number of companies operating in Egypt It included Dragon Oil, Dana Gas, Mediterra, and Naftogaz companies, to discuss their current business situation and ways of cooperating in increasing oil and gas production and exchanging visions on ways to advance work in this framework.
The meeting with Engineer Ali Rashid Al-Jarwan, President of the UAE Dragon Oil Company, in the presence of Farid Al-Hashemi, Director of the company’s operations in Egypt, discussed the fruitful cooperation through the distinguished partnership in the Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO), and the keenness the Minister witnessed during the field visit to Ras Shuqair last week to implement plans. Production, commitment to applying requirements and rules of occupational safety and health, environmental protection, and relying on innovation, dialogue and modern technologies for safe operation and achieving production plans.
The Minister stressed the potential of the Gulf of Suez region and the importance of exploiting modern technology in various ways to work on opening production horizons.
Al-Jarwan stressed the support for these plans and the fruitful partnership and the importance of the workshop that was previously held between the partners in Gupco to develop a strategy for the future to cooperate on increasing production and overcoming challenges, stressing the endeavor to obtain more areas and invest their potential in expansion in Egypt.
