Arab Finance: Walid Jamal Al -Din, Chairman of the General Authority witnessed For the economic zone of the Suez CanalSpeaking ceremony for the foundation stone for new production lines in the Turkish “Hayat Egypt” factory for health products, on an area of 30 thousand square meters inside the integrated Sokhna area, within the scope of the industrial developer “Orascom for industrial areas”.
New expansion investments are 44 million dollars (about 2.2 billion pounds), and include lines for the production of non -textile health products, with more than 400 direct job opportunities, and allocating about 75% of production for export. It is scheduled to start in March 2026.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Tariq Al -Shazly, the Governor of Suez, the Turkish Ambassador in Cairo, Saleh Motlo Shen, the general manager of the company, Shenol Kisrlyoglu, and a number of officials of the commission and representatives of “Orascom”.
Walid Jamal Al -Din stressed that this step reflects the increasing confidence of Turkish investors in the economic zone, noting that the number of Turkish companies invested within the authority reached 18 companies with total investments approaching 794 million dollars, including 10 companies in Sokhna alone.
He added that the authority is constantly seeking to improve the investment climate through the development of infrastructure, services to services, and to provide an attractive business environment, which contributes to enhancing the resettlement of industry and increasing Egyptian exports to global markets.
