Arab Finance – Egypt specializes in 20 square kilometers to create a 900 -megawage solar station in oases


A government official revealed the allocation of an area of ​​20 square kilometers, in the Al-Wahat area in Egypt, for the benefit of the (Masdar-Infiniti Power-Hassan Allam), to implement a solar power plant.

The Arab official said that the coalition will implement a 900 -megawage solar station on the project ground in the oases area in the New Valley, where the studies of solar brightness and other studies for the implementation of the project have been completed.

The project land was allocated out of a total area of ​​10 thousand square kilometers obtained by the new and renewable energy authority by a Republican decision; To implement solar and wind power stations in the New Valley Governorate.

According to the official, the implementation of the “Innte” station will be completed during the second half of 2025, which will enhance the capabilities of alternative energies linking the National Electricity Network this year.

He pointed out that the company “Inntei” is implementing another solar station in the Benban area of ​​Aswan, the capacity of 300 MW. It will also finish its implementation before the end of 2025, with a total investment of the two stations taking place at the level of one billion dollars.

According to the sustainable development strategy “Egypt Vision 2030”, which was placed during 2018, it is planned that the Egyptian energy mix will consist of 2030 from 27% of oil and gas, 5% of electrical energy, 16% of solar energy, 14% of the wind, and 29% of Coal, 9% of nuclear energy.

According to the official, the oases area in Egypt is suitable for the implementation of solar stations and winds, which will be relied upon during 2025/2026 to implement alternative power stations that replace those traditional fossil fuel.

He added that the offers of a number of companies that have applied for land spaces in the Al -Wahat area are evaluated in Egypt to implement renewable energy stations, to be decided during the second half of the year.
