Arab Finance: The company opened Swedish Electric (SWDY) Listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange as a factory for telecommunications cables with investments of one billion pounds in the industrial city Ministry of Industry And company Swedish yesterday.
The factory, which has an area of 70 thousand square meters, is the largest of its kind in Egypt and the Middle East.
The production capacity of the factory is 4 million kilometers of optical fiber cables and 200 thousand kilometers of copper communication cables – including network cables, phone cables and axial cables in addition to copper network accessories, fiber optical networks, communication cabins and networks.
The factory is expected to provide more than a thousand job opportunities in the first stage.
The company was established in 1938 and operates in five major business sectors: wires, cables, accessories, electrical products, engineering and construction, digital solutions, and infrastructure investments. It has a strong presence in 19 countries around the world, and 31 production facilities spread in African and Asian countries, including Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan and Tanzania.
A wide range of high -quality products is exported to more than 110 countries around the world.
