Weather Forecast Update: November has arrived, but the shivering cold is not visible yet. However, a drop in temperature is being seen in the hilly areas and the Meteorological Department has indicated cold between 8 and 15 November.
Pollution has further weakened the effect of winter, while the air quality (AQI) has crossed 400, making even breathing difficult. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi today is likely to be 17.6 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature can reach 32 degrees. A slight drop in temperature may be seen between November 6 and November 11, but there will be no significant change in the smog and pollution situation in the morning.
In Jammu and Kashmir, especially in areas like Anantnag, Kukernag, Kupwara and Pahalgam, the minimum temperature may fall by 1 to 6 degrees today. The minimum temperature in Dehradun, Uttarakhand is also between 15-16 degrees, while in some areas it can go up to minus. The decline in temperature continues in Himachal Pradesh too and the maximum temperature is expected to be between 18 to 20 degrees.
Weather mild in UP and Rajasthan, effect of cold still far away
Mist and light fog may prevail in Uttar Pradesh in the morning. There will be dry weather in western and eastern areas of UP and the minimum temperature may go below 20 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Rajasthan will also be normal and the minimum temperature will be around 20 degrees. A slight coolness may be felt here in the next few days, but the freezing cold is still far away.
Cold did not come even in Punjab-Haryana
According to IMD, the effect of cold is not yet visible in Punjab-Haryana and Chandigarh. The weather here will be normal and the maximum temperature is likely to be up to 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 16 to 17 degrees. These states may experience mild cold in the morning and evening for the next few days, but serious impact of cold is not expected yet.
Possibility of cold in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar
The weather will be clear in MP today and the temperature is expected to drop. The maximum temperature can go up to 33 degrees and the minimum temperature can go up to 17 degrees. If we talk about Bihar, the level of pollution here is very bad. At many places AQI is being recorded near 400. It is estimated that the effect of cold can be felt here after November 8. Due to pollution, people here may also have difficulty in breathing.
