According to sources, Samajwadi Party is in a mood to give two seats of RLD to Congress. RLD had contested Khair and Meerapur seats in SP alliance. According to sources, SP wants to give the seats of Ghaziabad Sadar and Meerapur to Congress. If there is pressure from Congress, a decision may be taken to give one seat from Meerapur or Khair. Congress had contested the last Lok Sabha elections from Ghaziabad. This is the reason why SP can give Ghaziabad Sadar seat to Congress.

Whereas Congress is demanding all the remaining four seats from SP. Chandan Chauhan won the Meerapur seat from RLD. Congress has also set its sights on the Khair Assembly seat. Congress leader Alka Lamba has included Charu Kane in Congress from there. Charu Kane belongs to Dalit community and is the daughter-in-law of Jat family. Last time he contested elections from BSP and got 65 thousand votes. Seeing good number of votes, he is preparing to bet on Charu. However, Congress has appointed senior leaders as in-charges and observers for all the 10 seats.

Earlier on Wednesday, Samajwadi Party had shocked Congress by announcing candidates on six seats in the state. Akhilesh Yadav has fielded Tej Pratap Yadav from Karhal Assembly seat and Ajit Prasad, son of Awadhesh Prasad from Milkipur. Naseem Solanki, wife of former MLA Irfan Solanki, has been given ticket from Sisamau seat of Kanpur. Mustafa Siddiqui has been fielded from Phulpur assembly seat, Shobhavati Verma from Katehri assembly seat and Dr. Jyoti Bind has been fielded from Majhwana seat.
