Uttar Pradesh News Today: The rural environment in Uttar Pradesh has progressed rapidly in the last few years on the path of development. Through the MNREGA scheme, the Yogi government has implemented many efforts to provide employment in rural areas, empower women and improve basic facilities.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, so far 60.17 lakh families have been linked with employment in villages in the current financial year 2024-25 in the state. Basti district of the state has secured the first position in the state in employment generation under MNREGA.
Basti remained first in employment
Till now, against 1 lakh 95 thousand 717 demands, employment has been provided to 1 lakh 95 thousand 714 families in the village. Due to which 79 lakh 40 thousand 929 man days have been created. For this effort, Basti has got the first position in the state, while Azamgarh has got the second position and Jaunpur has got the third position.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath There is a clear instruction that more and more man days should be created under MNREGA, so that people of rural areas can get employment in their own villages. Rural Development Commissioner GS Priyadarshi has given instructions to the concerned officials that MNREGA schemes should be implemented in a better way so that employment opportunities can be ensured for the rural people.

Under MNREGA, many schemes are being run not only for employment but also for the overall development of rural areas. These include employment as well as important schemes like housing, drinking water, women empowerment, irrigation, road construction and plantation.

In the last few years, not only people are getting employment in the villages of Uttar Pradesh but the structure of the villages has also become stronger. MNREGA has also made a special contribution towards women empowerment in the state. The women of the village are not only getting employment under this scheme, but they are also getting economic independence. Special opportunities are being provided to women through the government so that they can become self-reliant. Positive changes are coming in the lives of women by getting employment under MNREGA.
target of 100 days employment
This year, under the MNREGA scheme, 100 days of employment has been provided to more than one lakh families. Till now, there are 1 lakh 371 such families, who have made their livelihood stable by getting 100 days of employment.
The aim of the Yogi government is that more and more families should get employment for 100 days, so that there is financial security in their lives. The lives of rural people are changing due to this historic effort of Yogi government.
The effective implementation of the MNREGA scheme is being continuously monitored, so that the benefits of this scheme can reach more and more people. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, officials in all the districts have been entrusted with the responsibility of successful implementation of this scheme.
