There is hope that the dream of running a train from Kashmir to Kanyakumari will be fulfilled in the new year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can inaugurate this important project any day in January 2025. Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu on Tuesday inspected the world's highest railway bridge and stations built on Chenab in Reasi district.
After inspecting the railway station built in Gram, Ravneet Singh Bittu said that the target is to complete the remaining work on this ambitious Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla rail link project by December. Prime Minister Modi and Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav can inaugurate the project any time in January. During the inspection of Anji bridge, he said, this cable bridge is a wonder of the world. The engineers have done an excellent job in building the bridge. Prime Minister Modi thinks about the progress of the valley and its people. According to his thinking, this project is at its final stage.
A total expenditure of Rs 42,900 crore has been incurred on the project. The eyes of the whole world are on this ambitious project. As soon as the railway runs in the valley, India will establish a new dimension in the whole world. This train will bring a big change not only in tourists but also in business.
Tourists will be able to reach the valley in every season
The minister said, goods and tourists will be able to reach the valley in every season. Railway division will soon be formed in Jammu. This will increase trade and tourism in Jammu division.
