Sharad Pawar And Relatives Celebrated Bhau Beej Festival in Baramati Ajit Pawar Not Attended ahead Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024

Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: Just before the assembly elections in Maharashtra, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar celebrated the festival of 'Bhau Beej' with his family. Pawar along with his family members and supporters gathered to celebrate 'Bhau Beej' in Baramati in Pune district on Sunday (November 3), but his nephew and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was absent from the occasion.

Sharad Pawar's daughter and Lok Sabha member from Baramati Supriya Sule has shared a video on social media in which supporters and relatives are seen welcoming the NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar) chief. The NCP split took place in July last year, when Ajit Pawar and several MLAs joined the Eknath Shinde government against the wishes of Sharad Pawar.

Ajit Pawar had participated in 'Bhau Beej' program last year.

The Election Commission later gave the party name and 'clock' election symbol to the Ajit Pawar faction, while the Sharad Pawar-led faction was named NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar). However, Ajit Pawar had participated in the Baramati 'Bhau Beej' program last year. This year, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also broke the family tradition of jointly celebrating Diwali Padwa by organizing a separate event in his native village Katewadi.

Competition between Ajit Pawar and Yugendra Pawar in Baramati

Sharad Pawar's celebration took place at his Govindbagh residence. Diwali related festivities are being celebrated in the Pawar family ahead of the assembly elections to be held on November 20. An interesting contest can be seen in Baramati between Ajit Pawar and his nephew and NCP (SP) candidate Yugendra Pawar. Lok Sabha elections Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra Pawar was contesting against Supriya Sule. Sule had easily won this election.

Let us tell you that elections will be held for all 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra in a single phase on November 20. At the same time, the results of the assembly elections will be declared on 23 November.
