Actually, Delhi Tourism Department has started 'Heritage Walk Festival' from Thursday (October 10). This festival will run on 31 December. The Tourism Department is organizing this 'Heritage Walk Festival' on 6 circuits of Delhi.
What is 'Mutney Memorial'?
The '100 Heritage Walk Festival' was started by Tourism Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj from the historical 'Mutiny Memorial' at Kamla Nehru Ridge Civil Lines, Delhi. This memorial was built by the British in 1857 during the freedom struggle. It was built in memory of the British officer and his colleagues killed in the battle.
Launching this campaign, the Tourism Minister of Delhi Government said, 'This memorial not only symbolizes the death of the British officer and his colleagues, but also symbolizes Jai Ghosh of India's freedom struggle. He said that during this 80-day program, work will be done to provide information about 100 different heritages to the people. Such programs have been organized by Delhi Tourism Department. Such programs will continue to be organized in future also.
