MP News: The Commissioner has suspended an officer posted on the post of Project Officer in the Urban Development Agency of Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh for behaving in an objectionable manner with a female employee and sending obscene images. On the instructions of Collector Dewas Rishav Gupta, considering the seriousness of the complaint, Divisional Commissioner Sanjay Gupta, keeping in mind the Madhya Pradesh Municipality Service (Executive) Rules 1973, suspended Project Officer of Dewas District Urban Development Agency Ravi Bhatt with immediate effect. Is done. According to the information received from the officials, Collector Dewas had received a complaint by Ravi Bhatt, Project Officer of Dewas District Urban Development Agency, regarding constant pressurization for sexual favours, touching a female colleague in the office and attempting indecency.
The complaint received by Collector Dewas was investigated by the Internal Complaints Committee. The investigation committee investigated the allegations against Bhatt on the basis of social media messages and audio recordings. The investigation committee found that such unnecessary messages were sent to the complainant which does not amount to carrying out official work but comes under the category of sexual harassment of women at the workplace. Due to this, the Divisional Commissioner has issued suspension orders.
Presence will remain in Ujjain during suspension
In the order issued from the Divisional Commissioner's office, it has been mentioned that during the suspension period, the headquarters office of Ravi Bhatt will be Joint Director Urban Administration and Development Ujjain. During the period of suspension, Ravi Bhatt will be eligible for subsistence allowance as per rules.
