PM In Bodoland Mohatsav Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first Bodoland Mahotsav at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in Delhi on Friday (November 15, 2024). Speaking on this occasion, PM congratulated everyone on the occasion of Dev Diwali and Guru Nanak Jayanti. PM Modi said that today the country is also celebrating Tribal Pride Day. He said, “The first Bodo festival is starting here. People of Bodo community from different states of the country have come to Assam for the first Bodoland Festival. Everyone is gathered here to celebrate the new future of prosperity and culture of peace.
PM Modi said that friends cannot imagine how emotional this occasion is for me. These moments make me emotional. PM Modi said that those who write various theories about the country while sitting in air-conditioned rooms in Delhi will not have any idea what a big opportunity this is.
Prime Minister's big talks
- The PM said that 50 years of bloodshed, 50 years of violence, 3-4 generations of youth were consumed in this violence. Bodo festival is being celebrated today after decades.
- The PM said that my Bodo brothers and sisters, after the Bodo peace agreement in the year 2020, I got the opportunity to come to Kokrajhar. There I found belonging and affection.
- PM said that the progress of Bodoland is very important today. Bodoland has seen development after the peace accord.
- PM Modi said, “It makes me very happy to see the impact of the Bodo Peace Accord on your lives. I have come here today to thank you and greet the family, this is a very emotional moment for me.”
- The PM said that the atmosphere I had seen. You had left the path of violence for peace. Those moments were very emotional, at that very moment a voice came from within me that now the dawn of prosperity has come in Bodoland.
- PM Modi said that I tell the youth of Naxalism that bombs, guns and pistols never bring any results. The result comes from the path adopted by the Bodos. You have done well by coming to Delhi and singing the song of peace.
- The Prime Minister said that for me the entire North East including Assam is Ashta Lakshmi. Now the sun of development will rise from the east. We are looking for a solution to the North East border dispute. The golden period of development of Assam and North East has begun.
- PM Modi said that Assam is making new records of development. People have got relief from the opening of many new medical colleges and hospitals. This is opening doors of opportunity for the youth. The PM said, “I consider Bodo land to be the home of hundreds of years of culture, we have to strengthen it.”
- PM Modi also said, “I will leave no stone unturned in fulfilling your hopes and expectations. You people have won me over and so I am always yours, for you and because of you.”
