Patna DM said FIR has been registered in case of missing eyes from dead body in NMCH


Bihar News: A man was found allegedly missing in one eye on Saturday morning after he died during treatment at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) in Bihar's Patna district. At the same time, in this case, Patna DM Dr. Chandrashekhar said that the allegation is very serious. This is being investigated. FIR has been lodged. A team has been formed and whatever report will come out. We will take action on that.

Death due to bullet injury in Nalanda

The police official said that Funtush Kumar (24), a resident of Nalanda district, was shot by the criminals, after which he was brought to the hospital for treatment. Alamganj police station of Patna, Rajeev Kumar, said that the person was admitted to the hospital after being shot and the family members alleged that someone had allegedly removed the patient's eye last night. He said that after seeing the dead body, it appeared that the eye of the deceased had been tampered with and taken out.

What did the police station chief say?

According to the police station in-charge, doctors said that prima facie it appears that this was done by rats. He told that the police is examining the CCTV footage. The official said that Kumar was shot by criminals on the night of November 14, after which he was admitted to NMCH in an injured condition. He told that 36 hours after the operation, Kumar died on November 15 at around 9 pm and after his death, his left eye was missing whereas at the time of admission to the hospital, both his eyes were there.

The relatives of the deceased alleged that after removing the eyes of the body, a bandage was tied on it. The hospital administration formed a four-member team to investigate the matter and said that action will be taken against the culprits after the post-mortem of the body is done.
