After Mahayuti got majority in Maharashtra elections, NCP Ajit faction leader and Chief Whip Anil Patil made a big claim about Mahavikas Aghadi. He said that after the election results, there is unrest in the camp of Mahavikas Aghadi. Five to six MLAs of Mahavikas Aghadi may join the ruling grand alliance in the next few months.
Speaking at an event, Anil Patil said that there is tremendous unrest among some NCP (Sharad), Congress and Shiv Sena (Uddhav) MLAs. Those who have good relations with us have expressed concern over the massive defeat of the MVA. There will be no surprise if five to six MLAs join the Mahayuti in the next four months. Anil Patil has won the election from Amalner assembly seat.
The main contest in the 2024 assembly elections in the state was between two major alliances. In the results, Mahayuti, the alliance of BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP (Ajit faction) has got 235 seats in the 288-member assembly. BJP has got maximum 132 seats. BJP's ally Shiv Sena has got 57 seats. At the same time, Ajit Pawar's NCP has got 41 seats. Which is much more than the majority figure of 145. On the other hand, Mahavikas Aghadi has got 54 seats. In this, Shiv Sena (Uddhav) won 20 seats. While Congress won 16 seats and NCP (Sharad) won 10 seats.
Sharad Pawar accepted defeat
Earlier, NCP Sharad faction chief Sharad Pawar has accepted the defeat of the opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra. In Karad, Sharad Pawar said that the results of Maharashtra Assembly elections were not as expected. After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, we were now much more confident, but after the results of Maharashtra, it seems that we still need to do a lot of work. We will study the reasons and go to the people. This is the decision of the people. Participation of women in large numbers could be the reason for Mahayuti's victory in Maharashtra elections.
