National Conference (NC) MLA Bashir Ahmed Wari has been detained with two cartridges of a pistol. Security forces caught the MLA during checking at Srinagar airport on Sunday. Wari is an MLA from Bijbihara assembly constituency.
According to sources, MLA Wari was going to Jammu. He was stopped during routine security check at the airport. It is being told that two pistol cartridges were recovered from him during the investigation. After this, MLA Wari was taken into custody by the security forces.
The MLA was taken to Hamhama police station for questioning. It is being told that the police is trying to find out from where the MLA got these cartridges. The MLA has been released after questioning. However, no official has yet confirmed this matter.
