Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: There are 36 assembly seats in Mumbai. Mumbai Police has banned the gathering of people within 300 meters of all 36 counting centers before counting of votes. Counting of votes will be conducted on November 23 in all the assembly seats of Maharashtra including Mumbai. Voting was held on 288 seats in Maharashtra on November 20.
According to the PTI report, the police officer said that apart from any officer engaged in the election process or a government employee on duty, no person can gather within a radius of 300 meters of any counting centre. This order will come into effect from 6 pm on 21st November and will remain in force till midnight on 24th November.
Lowest turnout in Mumbai City
This time there has been about four percent more voting in Maharashtra. This time there was 65.11 percent voting compared to 61.29 percent in 2019. Maximum voting took place in Kolhapur. Here 76.25 percent voters have cast their vote whereas in Mumbai City the lowest turnout was 52.07 percent. Whereas in Mumbai Sub-Urban, 55.77 percent votes were cast.

Shivadi, Byculla, Malabar Hill, Mumba Devi, Worli, Mahim, Wadala, Sion, Dharavi, Vandre West, Vandre East, Kalina, Kurla, Chembur, Anushakti Nagar, Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar, Ghatkopar East, Ghatkopar West, Chandivali, Vile in Mumbai. Parle, Andheri East, Andheri West, Versova, Goregaon, Malad West, Charkop, Kandivali East, Dindoshi, Jogeshwari East, Bhandup West, Vikhroli, Mulund, Magthane, Dahisar and Borivali.
The contest in the elections is between Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti. Apart from this, parties like Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and AIMIM have also fielded candidates. BJP had won 105 seats in the 2019 elections. There was a split in Shiv Sena in 2022 and NCP in 2023. Currently NCP has 40, Eknath Shinde Shiv Sena has 38 seats, Congress has 37, Uddhav Thackeray has 16 and NCP-SP has 12 seats.
