Rajasthan Crime News: Jodhpur, the second biggest city of Rajasthan, is the target of cyber thugs these days. Cases of digital arrest are coming to light one after the other. Now the government doctor was duped of lakhs by keeping him under digital arrest for 24 hours. The doctor was told that a parcel booked for Thailand in your name has been seized at Delhi airport. The caller gave his name as Anil Kumar and introduced himself as Sub Inspector. He said that during examination of the parcel, MD drugs and Pakistani passports were recovered.
The fraudster threatened Pakistan in the name of funding and human trafficking. The caller asked to press one for more information about the parcel. With one press the call was transferred to the other person. The second caller revealed his name as Amit Sharma. He told that the parcel has been booked in your name. The doctor refused to book the parcel. The caller told that the parcel has been booked from Delhi to Thailand. At the airport, the investigating agency recovered five passports, three credit cards, 4.2 kg of clothes, a laptop and 1.4 grams of MD drugs in the parcel.
By showing fear of Pakistani funding, Rs 9 lakh 50 thousand were transferred to the doctor's account. ACP Central Manglesh Chudanwat said that Dr. Mohammad Shakir Ghori, who lives near Mahavato's Mosque located at Nagaur Gate, has lodged a report in the police station on October 8. He told that on October 6, a voice call was received on the mobile at 3:00 pm. The caller asked the doctor to reach Delhi Crime Branch within 2 hours. It was said that the case is being processed in less than 18 days.
Doctor kept under digital arrest for 24 hours
The doctor expressed his inability to reach Delhi citing that he was in Jodhpur. The fraudster said that you should go to a secluded place. The officer will talk to you on video call. You report your complaint to the officer. The caller identified himself as IPS Samadhan Pawar. He said that the account is being operated with the connivance of the local bank and the police. Funding has come from Pakistan through this account. Three out of five passports are from Pakistan. When the doctor refused, the case was declared human trafficking.
Fraudster stole lakhs of rupees from his account
The thugs told the doctor that they would come out of the matter in 24 hours. After this, the doctor's bank account was tracked for 6 hours. Meanwhile, it was said that you will not switch off your mobile phone nor should you mention the calls taken under surveillance to anyone. Along with digital arrest, the doctor was asked to transfer Rs 9 lakh 50 thousand to his account. The amount will automatically come to your account after 6 hours. The doctor transferred Rs 9 lakh 50 thousand to the account. The call got disconnected after transfer.
