Jharkhand Election Phase-1 Voting: Voting for the first phase of Assembly elections 2024 in Jharkhand ended on Wednesday. In the first round, voting was held on 43 assembly seats in 15 districts, where a total of 683 candidates were in the fray. With this, the decision of political fate of famous faces like Champai Soren, Banna Gupta, Mahua Maji, Geeta Koda and Purnima Das was captured in EVMs.
Voting for the first phase of assembly elections in Jharkhand concluded peacefully on Wednesday. In the first round, voting was conducted till 5 pm on 43 assembly seats in 15 districts of the state. According to the data till 7.30 pm, 65.27% voting has been recorded on 43 seats. In the first phase where elections were held on Wednesday, there was 63.75% voting in 2019. That is, the initial data shows that in these 43 seats of the first phase, more than one percent voting took place as compared to 2019. The voting percentage may be higher once the final figures are released by the Election Commission.
