Indore News: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad created a ruckus in Indore. The workers surrounded Bhanwarkuan police station and raised slogans. The protesters were demanding suspension of TI. The news of siege of the police station created panic in the police department. It is noteworthy that two days ago there was a dispute in the IET College campus. ABVP workers had complained about the students. The allegation was that students in an intoxicated state created obstruction during the Garba programme.
Girl students were also misbehaved during the ongoing Garba in IET College campus. The other party had also filed a case against ABVP workers accusing them of assault. On the complaints of both the parties, the police had to register a cross FIR. ABVP got enraged after the FIR was registered. The workers surrounded Bhanwar Kuan police station in protest on Friday. Due to the siege of the police station, a situation of chaos was created on the spot. The protesters started demanding suspension of TI. ABVP leader Manoj Jat alleged that drug trade is spreading rapidly in Bhanwar Kuan police station area. Questions have also been raised about the safety of coaching students.
ABVP workers raised slogans at the police station
Many incidents of molestation of girl students are also taking place in the police station area. TIs are proving incapable of curbing illegal activities in the area. Therefore, ABVP demands that TI should be transferred from Bhanwarkuan police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police Devendra Singh Dhurve explained to the angry workers. The activists told the Deputy Commissioner of Police that during the dispute on October 9, the police did not investigate many aspects. Activists have put forward many facts in the matter. The police are further investigating on the basis of the statement. Evidence is also being collected as per the demand of workers and leaders. Further legal action will be taken. On the demand of the workers, the Deputy Commissioner of Police has given instructions for investigation.
