Hypersonic weapons are those that travel at hypersonic speed, which is defined as between 5 and 25 times the speed of sound, or approximately 1 to 5 miles per second. According to the report of America's Atlantic Council, currently only America, China, India and Russia have been able to acquire hypersonic missiles in the world. Russia is on top in terms of use of hypersonic missiles, their number and other technology. Russia's Zircon hypersonic missile is at the forefront in terms of fastest attack in the world. Its missile is capable of attacking up to 1000 km at a speed of Mach 8.

A big success was also achieved on 12th November.

Let us tell you that earlier on November 12, DRDO had conducted the first flight test of Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM) from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur on the coast of Odisha from a mobile articulated launcher.
