Delhi Latest News: Delhi's Aam Aadmi Party government has announced to increase the fund of MLAs from Rs 10 crore to Rs 15 crore. Leaders of BJP and Congress have raised questions on this decision. BJP says that Delhi government is in fiscal deficit of seven thousand crores. In such a situation, why was the fund of MLAs increased from Rs 10 crore to Rs 15 crore? That too just before the elections.
BJP said that the budget was not allocated to the MLAs in the first year. In the second year, instead of Rs 10 crore, he got Rs 4 crore. In four years, MLAs should have received Rs 40 crore as per Rs 10 crore, but only Rs 15 crore were received. Now the AAP government is talking about giving Rs 15 crore.
Is there any sign of this!
Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav said that the Aam Aadmi Party, which is failing all-round, is making every possible effort to come alive in its last phase to woo the public. Where their MLAs were unable to spend Rs 10 crores annually, increasing the MLA fund to Rs 15 crores annually directly points towards huge corruption.
He said that Atishi has taken this decision after seeing the claim of constructing all the roads of Delhi by 31st October slipping away. He alleged that a decision has been taken to increase the MLA fund with a view to curb commission and corruption.
Instead of 40 crores, only 15 crores were received in four years
Devendra Yadav said that the fear of losing the elections is haunting the Aam Aadmi Party, hence Atishi is taking hasty decisions without thinking. From 2020 till now, MLAs have received a fund of Rs 15 crore, whereas till now Rs 40 crore per MLA should have been received. He said that one or two months before the last term of power, the Chief Minister should increase the MLA fund to mislead the public, provide mohalla buses for last connectivity and bring new schemes for the development of villages. Atishi is carrying out.
