Jammu Kashmir Kishtwar Encounter: Encounter has started between terrorists and security forces in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. It is being told that 3 to 4 terrorists are hiding in this area. This is the same group of terrorists who had killed two innocent villagers.
Village defense guards kidnapped and killed
Earlier, on Thursday (7 November 2024) two village defense guards were kidnapped and murdered in Kishtwar. The deceased were identified as Naseer Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar. The bodies of both were found near a drain inside the Kuntwara forest on Friday after an intensive 12-hour search operation. When the post-mortem of the dead bodies was done, it was confirmed that they had been shot from behind in the head. The officer said the victims were blindfolded and their hands were tied behind their backs.
Army increased siege after the incident
People took to the streets to protest against this incident. Village Defense Guards deployed on the international border with Pakistan in Jammu perform daily duty with the security forces. After this incident, the Commander of the Army's White Knight Corps reviewed the ongoing operations to trace the terrorists responsible for the murder.
Additional security forces were deployed in the area on Saturday (9 November 2024) to increase the cordon by the Army to search for the terrorists who carried out this heinous incident.
Apart from his wife, three sons and a daughter, deceased Nazir Ahmed is survived by a disabled brother, while Kuldeep Kumar is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. When both of them went to the forest area to graze their cattle, the terrorists targeted them.
