Choreographer Remo D Souza approached Supreme Court to get the fraud case quashed notice issued ANN


Remo D'Souza fraud case: The Supreme Court has issued a notice on the petition of choreographer Remo D'Souza. Remo had reached the Supreme Court to get the fraud case pending against him in Ghaziabad canceled. The bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjwal Bhuiyan has issued notice to the complainant of the case as well as the Uttar Pradesh government. The court refused to stay the case and said that it will hear the case next week.

What is the allegation against Remo D'Souza?
Let us tell you that in this case registered in 2016, Remo is accused of taking Rs 5 crore from Satendra Tyagi of Ghaziabad for making the film 'Amar Must Die' and not returning double the amount as promised. Tyagi says that he had given money to Remo in 2013. But this film was never made. The police have completed the investigation in this case and filed a charge sheet against Remo. Whereas Allahabad High Court has already refused to cancel the case.

What did the Supreme Court say?
In the brief hearing held today, the judges asked Remo's lawyer as to why he has come to the Supreme Court in 2024 to get the summons issued by the court in 2020 canceled? The lawyer told that his revision petition was pending in the High Court. On this, the bench said that the petitioner on his part has not delayed in challenging the summons. Therefore, we are issuing notices to the parties involved in the case.

Remo D'Souza has directed many films
Remo D'Souza is a famous choreographer of Bollywood. He has also directed many films like Faltu, ABCD and Race 3. Not only this, Remo has also been seen as a judge in many dance shows on the small screen. He has been a judge on shows like Dance India Dance, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Dance Ke Superstars, Dance Plus and DID Little Master.

Currently, the upcoming film 'Be Happy' directed by Remo is going to be released soon. This film will be streamed on OTT platform Prime Video. Abhishek Bachchan and Inayat Verma are in lead roles in the film.
