The WagonR car (registration number HR 51 BY 1774) involved in the accident was going from Pari Chowk towards Kashiram Colony, Ghodi Bachheda, in which three women and two men were traveling. This accident happened near Sector-146 metro station at around 6 in the morning.
The WagonR car rammed into a broken vehicle (No. UP 85 CT 8591) parked on the roadside at high speed from behind. The accident was so severe that the car driver died on the spot. While the other riders were immediately taken to the hospital by the local police. However, doctors declared all five dead.
