After this, first of all the Lord was bathed, Panchamrit Abhishek was performed and water laced with saffron was offered. Today Baba Mahakal was decorated in the form of Shri Krishna. He was adorned with Vaishnav tilak and turban and decorated with a garland of flowers. Then ashes were offered to Baba Mahakal by Mahanirvani Akhara. Devotees witnessed the divine Bhasma Aarti of Baba Mahakal from Nandi Hall and Ganesh Mandapam and benefited from the arrangements of Bhasma Aarti. During this time, the devotees also chanted Jai Shri Mahakal after seeing Baba Mahakal's transformation from formless to form.
