Police said that Anmol Bishnoi conspired to attack through another accused Sujit Sushil Singh alias Dabbu. According to sources, Dabbu procured weapons from Rajasthan and also provided financial help to the attackers. A month before the murder, he had instructed hired shooters to conduct recce in and around Siddiqui's house.
Fifth weapon recovered
Police claim that they have also recovered a fifth weapon from Sujit's possession. It is being said that Anmol had provided pictures of Baba Siddiqui and his son Zeeshan Siddiqui to the shooters through Snapchat to carry out the murder. Anmol has 18 criminal cases registered against him and is hiding in Canada.
Anmol's name has surfaced in many criminal cases
In April, Anmol had taken responsibility for the firing at Salman Khan's Bandra flat by posting a post on Facebook. A case has been registered against Anmol Bishnoi for firing at Salman Khan's house and conspiring to murder him at his farmhouse in Panvel. Anmol Bishnoi had also allegedly provided arms and logistics support to the accused who murdered Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala on May 29, 2022.
Police said Dabbu and some other recently arrested people were sent to police custody, while the first three accused Dharamraj Kashyap, Gurnail Singh and Praveen Lonkar were sent to judicial custody. It was Dabbu, who was arrested from Ludhiana on Friday, who had talked to the shooters about Anmol Bishnoi.
