Baba Siddique Shot Dead become an issue in UP By Election BJP and CM Yogi Adityanath facing litmus test


UP By Polls 2024: BJP and Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance are fully prepared for the by-elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh. The murder of NSP (Ajit faction) leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai can also become an issue in this by-election. Because UP has about 19% Muslim population and there is a BJP coalition government in Maharashtra. Samajwadi Party has announced the names of its 6 candidates for the by-election, in which a clear glimpse of PDA is visible. Out of the 6 candidates whose names have been announced by Akhilesh Yadav, 2 are minority, 3 backward and 1 Dalit candidate.

SP gave them ticket

On Katehri seat, SP has given ticket to Shobhawati Verma, who is the wife of SP MP Lalji Verma. Akhilesh Yadav's nephew Tej Pratap Yadav has been made candidate for Karhal seat and Naseem Solanki, wife of former MLA Irfan Solanki from Sisamau. Ajit Prasad, son of SP MP Awadhesh Prasad, has got the ticket from Milkipur seat. Dr. Jyoti Bind, daughter of SP leader Sasher Singh from Manjhwa and former MLA Murtaza Siddiqui from Phulpur have been made candidates.

Let us tell you that by-elections are to be held on a total of 10 seats in UP, in which BJP will field its candidates on 9 seats. For this, three names are being discussed from each seat and BJP's ally RLD can field a candidate from Meerapur seat. Whereas BJP's other ally Nishad Party wants Katehri and Manjhwa seats.
