Punjab Assembly Bypolls 2024: By-elections are to be held on four assembly seats in Punjab, for which Aam Aadmi Party has announced its candidates. AAP has given ticket to Gurpreet Singh Randhawa in Dera Baba Nanak. Apart from this, Ishan Chabbewal from Chabbewal seat, Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon from Gidderbaha assembly seat and Harinder Singh Dhaliwal from Barnala have been made candidates.
Let us tell you that voting is to be held on these four assembly seats of Punjab on 13th November. After this the result will be announced on 23rd November. Of the assembly seats where by-elections are being held, three seats were with Congress and one seat was with Aam Aadmi Party. Lok Sabha elections During this period, the MLAs of these seats were elected as MPs, due to which these seats became vacant.
Who became MP from where?
• Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading was MLA from Giddarbaha, now he is MP from Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat.
• Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer was MLA from Barnala, now he is MP from Sangrur.
• Rajkumar Chabbewal was the MLA from Chabbewal Assembly. He has now been elected MP from Hoshiarpur.
• Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa was MLA from Dera Baba Nanak. He has now become MP from Gurdaspur.
6.96 lakh people will vote on 4 seats
Voting is to be held on four assembly seats of Punjab on November 13. As of October 10, there are a total of 6,96,316 voters in the four assembly seats. 831 polling stations will be built here. 241 polling stations will be made in Dera Baba Nanak. There are 1,93,268 voters here. The number of voters in Chabbewal is 1,59,254. There are 1,77,305 voters in Barnala. The number of voters in Gidderbaha is 1,66,489. 205 polling stations will be set up in Chabbewal, 173 polling stations in Gidderbaha, 212 polling stations in Barnala. Political parties are also busy preparing for the by-elections to be held on 4 seats.
