India defeated South Africa by 61 runs in the first T20 match played in Durban to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match T20 series. After losing the toss and opting to bat first, the Indian team scored 202 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs on the basis of Sanju Samson's explosive innings of 107 runs. In reply, South Africa could score only 141 runs in 17.5 overs. Now Team India will have its eyes on the second T20 which will be played on 10th November.
