This time the trade fair stall allocation is online


The 29th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) is about to begin in the capital's east. Allotment of various types of stalls, pavilions and restaurants of this month-long fair will be done online from January 1, 2025.

Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) informed in a circular on Wednesday (October 30). EPB has developed new software for this purpose.

Using the software, local organizations wishing to participate in the 29th Dhaka International Trade Fair can apply online for allotment of space in various categories as per their choice.

The applicant organizations have to submit the quoted rates, prices, charges etc. online through Sonali Bank payment gateway for allotment of fair space.

On this occasion, an agreement was signed between EPB and Sonali Bank head office on Wednesday. The agreement was signed on behalf of EPB by the body's secretary Vivek Sarkar, who is also the director of DITF. General Manager Md. signed the contract on behalf of Sonali Bank. Moniruzzaman. EPB vice-chairman Md. Anwar Hossain, Acting Managing Director of Sonali Bank Subhash Chandra Das were present.

EPB said, with the launch of the software, the entrepreneurs of the companies wishing to participate in the fair will be able to apply at home.

About 350 different pavilions and stalls will be allocated to local and foreign producers and exporters along with general businesses in this fair, which is going to start at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachle. EPB has been organizing this fair since 1995 with the aim of providing employment opportunities along with promotion, marketing and production of domestic products.
