Compared to last week, Indian tomato price has increased by Tk 20 per kg, China carrot price has increased by Tk 10, bean price has increased by Tk 20, cucumber (hybrid) price has increased by Tk 10, radish price has increased by Tk 10 and Dhundal price has increased by Tk 40. . Besides, the price of gourd has increased by Tk 10-40 per piece and the price of cauliflower and cabbage has increased by Tk 10.
The price of raw tomatoes has decreased by Rs.20 per kg. The price of long brinjal has decreased by 10-20 taka, the price of potal (hybrid) has decreased by 20 taka. Besides, prices of other vegetables remain unchanged.
About the increase in the price of vegetables, the seller Shah Alam said, 'The price of vegetables goes up and down every day, the price of raw materials is like that. But now the price of vegetables which are out of season is normal.
Meanwhile, the buyers coming to the market say that we also know that the price of the vegetables which are out of season will increase. But why are the prices of vegetables that are in season increasing now? Why is the price of vegetables still high? They should be reduced. If not, it is difficult for us to move.
In today's market, cross varieties of onions are being sold at Tk 120-130 depending on the size and quality. Among them, small onions are being sold at Tk 120 and large size onions at Tk 130. And according to standards, desi onion is being sold at Tk 130, Indian onion at Tk 90-100. Besides, red potato is selling at 80 taka, white potato at 80 taka, Bogra potato at 90 taka, country garlic at 260 taka, Chinese garlic at 240 taka, Chinese ginger at 240 taka, new Indian ginger at 120 taka.
In this case, it has been seen that the price of desi onion has decreased by 20 rupees per kg, the price of cross variety onion has decreased by 10-20 rupees and the price of Indian onion has decreased by 10 rupees. Meanwhile, the price of all types of potatoes has increased by Tk 10 per kg. Today the price of China ginger and new Indian ginger has been reduced by Rs.20. Besides, the prices of other products remain unchanged.
In the market last week too, the price of red and white potatoes increased by Tk 5 per kg and Bogra potato by Tk 10. Even today the price of potato has increased by 10 rupees per kg.
Regarding the increase in the price of potatoes, the seller said. Yusuf said, 'new potatoes are not yet available in the market. Then many people are buying potatoes from the market to plant again. It has created a crisis. That's why the price is high. And onion is imported from India and now it has reduced. When new onions come, the price will decrease further.'
Meanwhile, the buyers have expressed their anger over the increase in the price of potatoes. A buyer named Salim Hossain said, 'The price of potatoes is increasing. The government is unable to control it. Should be tightly maintained. Otherwise it will be difficult for common people like us to survive.'
Besides, beef is being sold in the market today at the rate of Tk 750 per kg. Beef is being sold at the price of Tk 1,100 per kg.
