The price of gold has again increased in the country's market. This time, Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has set a new price by increasing the maximum price by Tk 1,994 per item. This new price will be effective from tomorrow, November 22.
According to the new price, the price of good quality i.e. 22 carat gold per load now stands at Tk 1 lakh 39 thousand 443.
New Price of Other Category Gold:
21 carat gold per charge: 1 lakh 33 thousand 735 Taka
18 carat gold filling: 1 lakh 13 thousand 989 taka
Traditional gold filling: 97 thousand 508 taka
Bajus said the adjustment in the local market was due to higher gold prices in the international market and rising dollar and cost of imported raw materials.
Note that 5% VAT will be added to the new price. Buyers are urged to purchase gold from authorized jewelery shops.
