The 11th Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture (BAEA) project exhibition has been inaugurated. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) at Agargaon in the capital on January 2. The exhibition will be open to visitors from 3 pm to 8 pm daily till January 6.
IAB President Architect Professor Abu Saeed M Ahmed and Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited Chief Operating Officer and Director Mohsin Habib Chowdhury were present at the inauguration ceremony. Apart from this, 11th Cycle Award Director Architect Achia Karim, Deputy Award Director Architect Abu Musa Iftekhar and Architect Nazifa Tabassum, IAB General Secretary Architect M Masud ur Rashid.
The judges included Architect Abu Haider Imamuddin, Architect Bayezid Mahbub Khandkar and Architect Tamanna Saeed. Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited Chief Business Officer Abul Kashem Mohammad Sadek Newaz and Chief Marketing Officer ATM Shamim Uz Zaman along with various renowned architects and guests were present on the occasion.
The exhibition showcases 72 projects submitted in the 11th BAEA Awards competition, of which 6 award-winning projects are highlighted: A Home for Memories and Daydreams-Studio Gumti Ghar, Rupgaon-Persive + ASP, Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Unit-17 Multipurpose Industrial Building-Neoformation Architects, Ajo Idea Space-Group of Architects & Thinkers, Storyhouse-Induscon Architects and Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed Park-Vitti Architects Limited.
The Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture (BAA) competition, jointly organized by Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited and the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), aims to recognize outstanding contributions to the field of architecture and honor outstanding architectural work.
