Leather Tech Bangladesh is known as an important platform for leather, footwear and travel accessories industry in the country. Leather Tech Bangladesh-2024, the largest exhibition of this industry for the tenth time, is starting from tomorrow Thursday.
Organized at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) Expo Zone of the capital, this exhibition will continue till November 23. 200 companies from 20 countries are participating in the exhibition. It will showcase leather, shoe making machinery, materials, chemicals and accessories. Through this, the organizers hope that local and international investors will be able to connect more closely with the potential leather industry of Bangladesh.
Despite the impact of the global economic recession, the export earnings of this sector have reached the highest level in the last five years. Due to Bangladesh's relatively affordable labor costs and 'Made in Bangladesh' brand, orders from foreign companies have increased. That is why manufacturers are now focusing on the latest technology and eco-friendly solutions. In this, quality factories in the country's leather and forward linkage sectors have already achieved LWG (Leather Working Group) certification, which is contributing to market expansion. Bangladesh is strengthening its position as a reliable supplier of leather products by producing high quality products. This exhibition is a great opportunity for new entrepreneurs, where they can get ideas and collect necessary equipment and materials.
