Under the direction of the government, Additional Secretary of the Financial Institutions Department of the Ministry of Finance, Amal Krishna Mandal has finally been made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Public Administration.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday.
Amal Krishna Mandal was earlier serving as Additional Secretary, Insurance and Capital Markets Division. Various allegations of irregularities were raised against him while serving on the board of directors of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation. In the wake of the complaint, he was accused of forcing Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority Chairman Zainul Bari to resign through Sonali Life.
Apart from this, in view of the complaints lodged against him, he is said to have regularly taken harassing steps against the complainants.
Several calls were made to Amal Krishna Mandal's mobile phone to inquire about the complaint, but he did not pick up.
