Illegal gas disconnection of Titus, collection of fine of lakhs of rupees


Titus Gas Transmission and Distribution Company has conducted an operation to clear the illegal distribution line of gas in East Maniknagar area of ​​Dhaka South City Corporation. Milton Roy, Executive Magistrate attached to Energy and Mineral Resources Department, led the operation.

During the operation on Tuesday (January 21), gas connections were found through illegal lines to some local houses in North Maniknagar Balur Mat Paka Rasta area.

At that time, 75 illegal stoves of about 13 houses were immediately disconnected and the line was stopped. This will save the state 1575 cubic feet of gas per day.

According to section 12(1) of Bangladesh Gas Act, 2010 conducted by mobile court for illegal use of gas line, fine of 85 thousand taka was imposed in 5 separate cases and it was collected immediately.

DGM, Titus Gas Transmission and Distribution Company and other officials were present during the operation.

Also, for not having LPG gas license, HTH Refueling Station, Rampura has been immediately fined Rs. Meanwhile, the assistant director of explosives department. Alim and Explosives Inspector Sanjida Akhtar were present.
