If rural electricity workers do not turn up for work, they have warned of hiring alternative manpower


Power and Energy Advisor Fawzul Kabir Khan said that if the workers of Palli Vidyut Samiti do not join the work, alternative manpower will be appointed. Vandalism by anyone including Palli Vidyut Samiti will not be tolerated.

He said these things at an event organized by the Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the capital on Sunday (October 20).

The advisor said that the government will not tolerate any kind of sabotage by anyone, including Palli Vidyut Samiti. Stopping power supply in the name of demand is illegal. This government is not a weak government. Rather, it has come with the huge support of the people.

He said that the logical demands of Palli Vidyut Samiti have been accepted. A decision will be taken after taking into consideration the demands made by the temporary workers to make them permanent. No sudden announcement can be made. Therefore, he also warned those who are trying to create unstable situation with various demands to be careful.

Meanwhile, regarding the determination of electricity and fuel prices, the advisor said, not the government, BERC will determine the price of electricity and fuel through public hearings.

Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan said the government wants to dig 50 exploration wells by 2025. Henceforth all purchases in the energy sector will be through open tender rather than through any collusion.
