There is a shortage of energy and electricity supply in the country. In view of this, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and the Ministry of Railways and their departments or organizations or companies have been instructed to avoid the use of air conditioners as much as possible during the upcoming winter season from November to next February.
This instruction was given through an order from the office of Power and Energy Adviser Fawzul Kabir Khan on Monday (October 28).
The order said, as a result, it will be possible to increase the supply of electricity for irrigation, production of fertilizers and supply of gas to industrial plants.
It is to be noted that earlier all ministries were directed by the government to take necessary measures to reduce electricity consumption by 25 percent. The advisor sought everyone's cooperation in this regard.
