The government has reduced the price of diesel and kerosene per liter from Tk 105 to Tk 104 for the month of January in line with the price of fuel oil in the world market. However, the prices of octane and petrol have been kept unchanged.
This information was informed through a notification of the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Mineral Resources on Tuesday (December 31) night.
It is said in the notification, in accordance with the low or increase in the price of fuel oil in the world market, with the aim of determining the price of fuel oil at the consumer level in the country every month in the light of the pricing formula, to ensure the supply of fuel oil at a relatively affordable price for the month of January, the price of diesel has been reduced from 105 to 104 taka per liter.
