Insurance center is the center of the world's trust in the world in danger, including illness, accident. Customers do not have to worry about paying the hospital bill or the loss of accidents if the insurance policy is done. The insurance company pays everything for the customer. But the insurance sector of Bangladesh has not yet become a place of trust. The disadvantaged customer has been damaged by the demand of the insurance company, but the money is not finished with the payment of the money. According to an unannounced report by the Insurance Development and Control Authority (IDRA), the country's six insurance companies have not paid around Tk 2,000 crore for the customer's insurance claim. This calculation is till December last year.

Bimsaists say that the companies are not paying the customer for years by the name of the insurance companies, papers and survey reports of the insurance companies, and the reinforcement. Because of this, people's confidence in the insurance sector is decreasing day by day.

In this regard, IDRA chairman M Aslam Alam said, the main problem in the insurance sector is not to pay the claim. This is why the insurance sector is crossing a transition.

According to the latest report of the IDRA, the demand of the customer's insurance to the 5 non-life companies in the country till December 1, 2021, was Tk. Of this, Tk. As a result, there is a demand of Tk 2,000 crore. In this case, the demand settlement rate is only 12 percent. As such, the companies did not pay 5 percent insurance claim.

The Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Insurance Forum SM Nuruzzaman, an organization of insurance companies on the matter, told today's newspaper that the IDRA and the finance ministry's financial institution department should be more sincere to ensure the repayment of insurance claims. Legal action must be taken to pay quick insurance claims.

Sikder Insurance Limited is at the top of the customers not paying insurance money. Until December 2021, the company's insurance amount to the company was Tk 20.5 million. Of this, they paid only Tk. That is, the company did not pay 5.7 percent insurance claim.

Asked about the managing director of Sikder Insurance Limited, Abdur Rafiq told today's newspaper that some incidents had happened on August 7. This insurance claim is in the general insurance company. The claim from the SBC will be paid only after receiving the money.

Harun-or-Rashid, Managing Director (MD) of the Government Insurance General Insurance Corporation, told today's newspaper, “I will not comment on not paying SBC insurance. However, we have paid Tk 1 crore in 2021 for the demand of the insurance company. '

Northern Islamic Insurance Limited is in second place for not paying insurance claims. Until last December, the demand amounted to Tk. Of this, they paid Tk 1 crore 22 lakh. The company's unpleasant insurance claim rate as money is 12 percent.

Chowdhury Ghulam Farooq, CEO of Northern Islamic Insurance Limited, declined to comment. However, a company official said the company's insurance claims have increased due to S Alam-Kand.

The third, fourth and fifth place in the list of the lowest insurance claims is Dhaka Insurance, People's Insurance and General Insurance Corporation. The three organizations have paid the demands of 5.22, 5.75 and 12.75 percent insurance respectively.

The insurance company authorities have blamed three reasons for not paying insurance claims. The reasons are that customers do not have proper documents, even if the document has a document, it is delayed to get the survey report and the general insurance is to get the reins.

In this regard, Mir Nazim Uddin, a consultant at Sikder Insurance Company, told today's newspaper that the main obstacle to repaying insurance claims is not to get the survey report. According to the IDRA report, silver insurance, Janata Insurance, Sonar Bangla, Eastland, Nettle and Prime Insurance Company Limited are top to meet insurance claims. These companies have paid up to 5 percent of customers' insurance claims.

If it fails, the court will have to seek refuge in the case quickly.
