Cargo operations opened at Sylhet Airport from April 23, Baby Chairman on Visiting

Preparations for the launch of cargo operations from Osmani International Airport in Sylhet have been in the final stages from April 25 this month. Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (Baby) Chairman Air Vice Marshal Md. Manzoor Kabir Bhuiyan.
During the inspection, the chairman visited the cargo terminal area and the related equipment on the ground. He also exchanged views with the concerned officials and provided necessary guidance for successful operation.
At the time, he said, “With the introduction of cargo operations from Sylhet, new horizons will be exported to the export of northeastern trade and goods in the country.”
In the second part of the inspection, Baby Chairman Osmani visited various important infrastructure of the ongoing development project at the International Airport. He monitored the progress of the passenger terminal building, apron, administrative building and control tower under construction and took updates from the concerned project authority.
Members of Babycock (Flight Standard and Regulation), Project Director, Airport Director, Master of Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) and officials of the concerned project were attended by the inspection.
After the inspection, the Baby Chairman expressed satisfaction over the progress of the project. “Once the work is completed within the stipulated time, the passenger service of Sylhet region will be more modern and international standard. It will be a milestone for the country's aviation system. '
