The first stage of the factory has been established with an estimated investment of 400 million pounds. It also opened the new pipe insulation production line of glass wool at Glasruk insulation factory with an estimated investment of 27 million Egyptian pounds. Glasruk isolation is a leading company in the manufacture of insulation products from glass wool and rock wool, which is one of the ASIC mining companies “Askum” of the castle.
The event was held in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and the Minister of Industry and Transport, the team is the engineer of the full minister, and during his opening tour, the team was briefed on the entire engineer of the minister on the production and technology stages used in the new production line of the Glasruk Factory, which completes the portfolio of Glasruk products in the field of thermal insulation, as His Excellency opened the new herbal drying factory on Dina farms, which reflects the company's orientation Towards promoting agricultural manufacturing, achieving the highest quality standards in food products.
The celebration witnessed the presence of a group of leaders of the castle company and representatives of its companies in various sectors, including Dr. Ahmed Heikal, founder and Chairman of the Castle Board of Directors, Hisham Al -Khazindar, the founding partner and managing director of the castle, and Amir Naguib, the co -chief of operations and managing director of the castle, Hatem Youssef, CEO of Dina farms, and Ghada Hammouda, Head of the Sustainability Sector for the Citadel Group.
In the context of the opening of the new herbal factory in Dina farms and the new pipe insulation production factory at Glasruk isolation factory, Dr. Ahmed Heikal, founder and chairman of the castle, stated: “Our investments come in the expansion of Dina farms and Glasruk Factory for isolation within the castle strategy to support energy and food security, through Maximizing the benefit of economic developments and our focus on developing local manufacturing capabilities and strengthening Eco -friendly added activities that are environmentally friendly and directed to export that are implemented through our subsidiaries and in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
The revenues of the export activities of the castle group amounted to 47.7 million dollars, and the revenues of sales in foreign currencies in the local market amounted to about 2.3 billion dollars during the first nine months of 2024, and the company aims to increase these foreign cash flows during the coming years.
“We expect the value of exports from insulation products and the products of the new herbal factory will be about $ 40 million,” Heikal added.
These projects come within the castle strategy and its companies affiliated with the localization of strategic industries and the promotion of food security, as Dina farms, whose investments amounted to about 1,950 billion Egyptian pounds, have succeeded in providing an integrated model for agricultural and animal production, which meets the needs of the local market; It supports state plans to expand export.
The factory created with investments of 400 million pounds is a qualitative shift in the herbal drying and development industry in Egypt, as it depends on a 100% unique business model by 100%, as it is the only integrated factory that is fully intended for export. It aims to meet the increasing demand for high -quality dried herbs in international markets. The expected export value of the new herbal drying factory products is about 20 million US dollars, which is expected to double over the next few years.
The Dina Farms Factory for Herbal Dotting is currently producing four 100%natural herbs, which are curly parsley, regular parsley, coriander, and dill, with future plans to expand the product and market portfolio in several main sectors, including herbs for medical and aromatic uses and cooking purposes, along with fruits and vegetables Focusing on the markets.
