Arab FinanceAl Baraka Bank Egypt held a symposium between it and Al Baraka Bank Turkey entitled “Al Baraka Bank Group Privileges”, to announce the accession of Al Baraka Bank Turkey to its commercial transactions platform, which aims to strengthen trade relations between exporters and importers in the various countries in which Al Baraka Bank Group operates. Al Baraka Bank Egypt was one of the first branches on the platform, along with Al Baraka Bank branches in Pakistan, South Africa, and finally Türkiye.
This symposium witnessed a distinguished presence from both countries, including Mr. Hazem Hegazy, CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Baraka Bank Egypt, Mostafa Al-Arousi, Executive Vice President, Amr Qandil, General Manager of International Banking Transactions, and Mr. Adel Lamei, Member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Businessmen Association. The Chairman of the Egyptian-Turkish Business Council, Mr. Ali Pasha, Minister Plenipotentiary and Commercial Consul of Egypt in Turkey at the General Consulate of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and a number of export councils.
On the Turkish side, Mr. Malek Temsah, General Manager of Al Baraka Bank Turkey, Mr. Serhan Akyildiz, Deputy General Manager, and Mr. Muzaffer Şalmak, Deputy General Manager of Operations, attended, along with officials from the Foreign Economic Relations Council (DE?K) and the Industrialists Association. Independent businessmen (MÜS?AD), the Turkish consul in Egypt, and representatives of a number of Turkish companies.
On this occasion, Mr. Hazem Hegazy, CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Baraka Bank Egypt, stated his happiness with Al Baraka Bank Turkey joining the platform, saying: “This step comes within the framework of the bank’s endeavors to consolidate strategic relations between the two countries, in order to achieve the maximum benefit for customers in both countries.” Al Baraka Bank Egypt and Al Baraka Bank Turkey, which aims to support commercial cooperation between the two countries and increase investment opportunities, in addition to consolidating the bank’s economic position at the regional level. This initiative also comes within the framework of enhancing international commercial transactions by providing innovative digital banking solutions that encourage customers to import and export and allow more companies in various countries to access financial services easily.
