Stock market indicators varied at the end of mid-week trading

Arab Finance: The Egyptian Stock Exchange ended the trading session today, Tuesday – the middle of the week’s sessions – with a difference in the movement of indicators. The main index of the market, the EGX30 – which includes the 30 largest listed companies, closed with an increase of 0.34% at the level of 30,628.74 points.

As for the EGX SHARIAH index, it closed with a decrease of 0.35%, achieving 3148.07 points.

The level of the EGX70 EWI for small and medium-sized stocks also increased by 0.52%, closing at the end of the session at 8460.57 points.

The broader EGX 100 index closed 0.30% higher at 11,603.59 points.

Regarding the total value of trades, it amounted to 4.4 billion Egyptian pounds, with a total number of transactions amounting to 100,750 transactions.

The market capitalization of the Egyptian Stock Exchange at the end of trading was 2.2 trillion Egyptian pounds.

The shares of 75 companies rose, while the shares of 87 companies decreased, and the shares of 48 companies did not change.

In terms of transactions by individuals and institutions, data from the Egyptian Stock Exchange website showed that individual transactions accounted for 63.4% of total market trades, while institutions accounted for 36.59% of trades.

The data also indicated that Arab traders today accounted for 4.69% of total transactions, while foreign transactions recorded 7.55% and Egyptians 87.76%.

The total transactions of Egyptian and Arab investors went towards selling, with a total value of 55.8 million pounds and 13.7 million pounds, respectively, while the net transactions of foreigners went towards buying, with a total value of 69.6 million pounds.
